The Mother-Daughter Book Club Series

Don't you love these book marks! Made by a MDBC fan. I know I haven't uploaded anything in like two or three weeks but this is how I will make it up to you.

Mother-Daughter Book Club
Found on heathervogelfrederick.com
It is my turn to ask you what your favorite part of the whole series is? What girl is your favorite and why? What is your favorite book in the series? Who do you think Cassidy Sloane should be with? What classics have you read from the book club? Etc. Really Just say anything you want on MDBC!

My Favs
I love the part in Pies & Prejudice where Stewart finally gets the courage to kiss Emma.
No surprise here, Emma Jane Hawthorne!
Favorite book in the series is Wish You Were Eyre.
I like Cassidy with no one just plain old Cassidy Ann Sloane.
MDBC inspired me to read Little Women and Daddy Long Legs.
Who I am most like?
I am probably more like Emma since I love, love to read and write! I have dark glasses and curly brown hair. I have a Labrador and a kitten, too. I kind of am like Jess because I love animals and I am a good student (I think ;) Jk) Maybe Cass since I'm so awkwardly tall (5"11 and I am 11!) and I hate make-up dresses, skirts, high heals, and etc. In a way I am kind of like Megan, too. As you can see I love neon, bright colors and like vintage. I also have to bitterly say I am kind of like Becca Chadwick, because I have to admit I can try to be a queen bee sometimes. Not like a bully or anything, no way I just like to boss sometimes or correct people. I hate teasing and violence.
Part that I Hate
I hate the part when Stewart and Emma and arguing about him falling over Sophie and he said he totally didn't like her, and then to close the horrible conversation ," Maybe this isn't the best time to say this, but you know how you and I say that dances are lame and everything. I was wondering of taking both of you" OK maybe not exact words from the book but I'm going by memory.

Your turn

Hey guys! I know a lot of you probably heard of this special book. I know because the majority of viewers who go on this sight are on the Mrs. Frederick's blog and on FanFiction. I know kind of am a couple of days late welcoming this story into The Mother-Daughter Book Club Series but here it is. Not so bright, huh. Well not to worry. I am really soon going finish this book maybe tonight I just have to read the last chapter and maybe tommorow I will post a review on the book. The reason I say maybe is because I don't know whats gonna happen. I have been through a lot all week. I went with my orchestra to see the Pheonix Symphony, homework (advanced classes), family problems, WYWE, I really wanted to get Taylor Swifts new album, I think I'm getting a cold, and I have subs for school tommorow. This weekend I'm totally booked. I have to go to my friend's Halloween Party and have to celebrate my big sis 20th birthday on Saturday (if she bothers to show up this year (long story)) maybe Sunday if she decides to spend another day at California. Then there is the devil. My little sister, Alyssa to be exact she has been bugging me like crazy. Not to mention Halloween. Gosh I ramble a lot. There should be a link below to a fanforum that talks about Wish You Were Eyre below

Once Upon Toad by Heather Vogel Frederick

Once Upon a Toad is about a girl named Cat Starr who lives with her astronaut mother in Houston, Texas, but when her mother is sent on a mission Cat is forced to stay with her father in Oregon.
She isn't that excited about the news only because she going to have to share a room with her real-life evil stepsister, Olivia. Just a couple days later when Cat can't take any more of Olvia  her great aunt appears out of no where. Something is going on.

What a magnificent story this is! I really like this story mostly because it is full of humor, mishief, and adventure. Great book for girls who like adventure and a modern fairytale.
I reccomend this book for ages 9-13.

Coming Up....

I plan to do a reveiw on Wendy Mass's books the Birthday series, but I have not actually read the last book of the series yet. I also need to get the actual copy of the book because I only have them on my eReader, Nook Tablet. I also want to do a rewiew on The Mother-Daughter Book Club by Heather Vogel Frederick but yet agian the same dilemma. There is some good news though. In twelve days  the yearly scholatic bookfair comes to my school and will be selling the birthday series so I plan to by that. I plan on buying The Mother-Daughter Book Club, but after the last book comes out which is on the 23rd. Not only that, I also want to buy a camera so I can do video reveiws on the book and post them on You Tube. There will be a review somewhere next week about Once Upon A Toad, another Heather Vogel Frederick story.

Louisa May Alcott

Have you ever read these book Little Women, Little Men, or Jo’s Boys?  Well, if you have, you should at least know a little about the fabulous author of the book, and if you have not, you should read the books and still know about the writer. I’ll share all that I know about Louisa May Alcott with you. You will be surprised by how much there is to know.

Louisa May Alcott was born on November 29, 1832 in Germantown, Pennsylvania. She grew up in Concord, Massachusetts during the Civil War. Her parents’ names were Abigail and Amos Alcott. She also had three sisters, Anna the eldest, Elizabeth and Abigail the youngest. She was taught by her father and Henry David Thoreau (famous author) and was inspired to write by her close family friends Ralph Waldo Emerson and Nathanial Hawthorne (famous authors). She took multiple jobs to help support her family.  She also spent some time of her life as a Civil War nurse.

Louisa May Alcott wrote several books including her most famous one Little Women. Little Women was based on Louisa’s life and family. Marmee was based on Louisa’s mother, Meg based on Anna, Louisa’s older sister, Jo is based on Louisa herself, Amy based on Louisa’s younger sister Abigail, Beth was based on Louisa’s youngest sister Elizabeth. She also wrote other classics including the sequels, Little Men and Jo’s Boys.

Ms. Alcott spent the rest of her life in Boston, Massachusetts and most of the time writing and reading. She then sadly passed away on March 6, 1888. She is buried at Authors Ridge, Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord, Massachusetts. But, even though she has passed doesn’t mean she is gone and will always be remembered.

Now you see all this wonderful women did and accomplished. I hope now that you will read her fantastic classics.
